Capacitor is the second installment in the three EP "Electronics" series, and the 9th overall Micronaut release. These three EPs explore angular musical themes, with multi-octave melodies juxtaposed against non-traditional beat structures.
For the gearspotting enthusiast, this EP (like Resistor before it and Transformer to follow) is built almost entirely from hardware synths and drum machines. The occasional guitar line or piano plink comes through, but the vast majority of the sound generation is via Chris Randall's eccentric collection of vintage and new synthesizers and drum machines.
More varied and aggressive in theme than its predecessor, Capacitor's aim is to ease the listener from the relative peacefulness of Resistor in to the hyperprogramming of Transformer.

Soothing album that will make love to your ears. Fun fact: the synths in dawn are entirely made out of randall's affordable audio damage basic synth which i bought the moment i found out;) Oskar Lindberg
